Guardian Web Application V3.55.0

Here's what's included in V3.55.0 of the Guardian web application as part of the May 2025 monthly release.

New Features

There are no new features included within this release of the Guardian web application.

Other Enhancements

The following enhancements to existing functionality are included within this release of the Guardian web application.

Account Menu Now Displays User Account Details

We have made improvements to the Account drop-down menu, located in the top-right corner of Guardian. In addition to displaying the name of the organization that is being viewed, the menu now displays the parenthesized name of the user account that is currently logged in. For example '[Organization name] ([User account name])'. Amongst other things, this new format offers greater visibility on account-specific actions within screenshots.

Tip: For more information on the Account drop-down menu, see Manage Accounts.

When the Account drop-down menu is expanded, an additional option is now displayed: [User Name]'s Profile. This new option takes you to the profile of the currently signed in user account.

Here, you can access and edit user details, configure environment reports, and view the account's live activity feed.

Note: This is a pre-existing page in Guardian, with no new functionality. You could previously access it by clicking the user account icon.

Option to Refresh Cache and Recheck Disk Space

When the disk space usage for Guardian is close to being full, the following warning message is displayed:

Screenshot of the warning message: 'Immediate attention required: Disk space usage is at dangerous. level. Scheduled jobs have been disabled until more space is available - [Disk path]: X%'.

We have now added a new Refresh button to the warning message that, when clicked, refreshes the cache and rechecks the disk space usage. If the storage issue has been resolved, the message is closed. If the message persists, you are required to remediate the storage issue and then Refresh the cache in order to close the warning message.

Fixed Issues

The following issues have been fixed within this release of the Guardian web application.

GWB-6177 – Last Contact Field Incorrectly Displaying Future Value

Problem:

In the Connection Managers tab (Inventory > Connection Managers), when viewing a new or existing Connection Manager group in V3.54.0 of Guardian, the Last Contact field was sometimes incorrectly displaying a time frame in the future, rather than the actual last time contact was made with the Connection Manager(s). For example, 'in a few seconds'.

Cause: This issue was caused by a time discrepancy between the server and host, whereby the user's machine was a few seconds behind the server's time, resulting in the time of the user's Last Contact check to appear to be in the future.
Solution:

We removed the condition that was causing the time discrepancy. Now, when viewing a new or existing Connection Manager group in V3.55.0 of Guardian, the Last Contact field correctly displays values in the past, such as 'a few seconds ago'.
